The Business Journal’s 10th edition of the LA500 celebrates the most influential leaders and impactful executives in Los Angeles. Many of these individuals have stepped up to help L.A. recover from the devastating wildfires earlier this year, and all are pillars of the community. The Business Journal is pleased to highlight these leaders who have made a tremendous impact on their respective fields.
Westside Estate Agency is pleased to share that company Cofounder and Chief Executive, Kurt Rappaport has been named to the Los Angeles Business Journal’s 2025 LA500 list, a recognition he has now earned 10 times.
Rappaport is a real estate investor and the founder of Westside Estate Agency, one of the largest privately held residential brokerages on the West Coast boasting annual sales in excess of $3 billion. He founded the firm in 1999 along with Stephen Shapiro. Today, it has offices in Beverly Hills and Malibu. Rappaport represented Oakley founder James Jannard in selling his Malibu mansion last year for $210 million, which is the largest residential transaction in California history to date, and broke Rappaport’s previous record of $190 million when he sold Jay-Z and Beyonce a Malibu home in 2023. He’s also a real estate investor and owner of Funke Beverly Hills, a Michelin-starred Italian restaurant. Rappaport donated $1 million to wildfire relief efforts earlier this year.
