Seems that one construction project was enough. Three months after Will Arnett sold his custom-built modular home for $8 million to actress Claire Holt (“The Vampire Diaries,” “The Originals”) and her private equity guru husband Andrew Joblon, the veteran actor/standup comic has eschewed building another house in favor of buying an all-new mansion built on speculation. Records reveal he’s plunked down $16.4 million for a trendy “modern farmhouse” structure in the hills just beyond the Beverly Hills city limits, and just around the corner from Jeff Bezos’ $165 million estate.
Nestled on nearly a half-acre of land near Benedict Canyon, and secured by gates and a striking 25-foot exposed brick entry wall, the sleek house has a two-tone bleached wood-and-brick exterior for visual oomph. Beyond the gates lies an expansive cobblestone motorcourt; inside the house, 10,300 square feet of inviting living space carries beamed ceilings, wood and brick accent walls, hardwood floors and steelcase windows throughout. Expansive walls of glass open seamlessly to the outdoors from almost every room.
The kitchen is one of the most visually dramatic spaces, with its marble backsplash touching the ceiling and the typical collection of high-end Wolf appliances. Adjoining the space are a walk-in pantry, formal dining room, and an office space with built-in shelves. A bespoke, sculpture-like staircase leads upstairs, where a sumptuous master retreat awaits with a fireside seating area and walk-in closet, plus a massive bathroom with veiny marble walls.
