Home of the Day: Three-structure compound above Sunset Strip
Skyline and ocean views create a backdrop for the multiple terraces, decks and patios found at this three-structure compound above Sunset Strip. The main house and detached studio, built in ranch style in the early 1950s, was once owned by actor William Boyd of “Hopalong Cassidy” fame. The guesthouse, with glass accent walls, polished concrete and beamed ceilings, was designed by Frederick Fisher, architect of such notable structures as the Annenberg Beach House and Sunnylands visitor center, and built in 1980.
